Both Academies combine practical instruction with real creative work. The curriculum, expectations, supervision, and assignments are designed specifically for each age group.

Both Pixel and Prime curricula include an October Renaissance Festival experience focused on event storytelling, costumed portraiture, atmosphere, performers, makers, and respectful photography in a living environment.

Helpful answers

Before you choose a class.

Do students need their own camera?

No. Students may bring compatible equipment or request class-use and take-home rental options. The Academy can also recommend an appropriate starter kit before a purchase.

Can someone attend only one photography class?

Yes. Individual classes are available à la carte. The three-part tracks offer a stronger learning experience by connecting preparation, shooting, and editing.

Where are classes held?

Programs use planned studio spaces and approved locations throughout the Greater St. Louis area. Exact dates, locations, admission details, and requirements are confirmed with enrolled students or guardians.

What kinds of photography can students learn?

Curricula may include portraits, events, street photography, architecture, landscapes, nature, travel, fashion, products, performance, editing, visual storytelling, and portfolio development.
